Seth clearly hadn't thought about this at all. It hadn't occurred to him that their families would probably like to be involved. He hated the way she added on 'however long that is'. It was almost like she was giving up already, but he wasn't going to let her think like that.
"We are going to have a long life together, Cho," he promised her, ignoring the niggling thought that he really shouldn't make promises that he couldn't be sure of keeping. He kissed her again, lingering this time. "I have to work tomorrow, but we can go up on Saturday morning if you like. Maybe stop by your parents on the way?"
His own could find out after, he decided. They were probably going to have his brother's wedding coming up soon, if his brother ever got his act into gear and proposed. Ha. His brother was going to hate him for this: it was going to put the pressure on James even more. At least with his sister's announcement at Christmas that she was pregnant, there was a lot more going on in his family than just his impulsive decision.
