Seth was a man who always looked well put together, but today he looked nothing like that man. His clothes were rumpled from sitting at Penny's bedside and his hair was a mess from constantly running his hands through it. When Cho opened the door, she looked a wreck and Seth's heart went out to her.
"Hey," he replied in a low voice and pulled her into a tightly hug. "Penny's holding her own. She hasn't woken up yet, but I'm hoping soon."
He couldn't think any other way. She had to make it. She was his best friend and he counted on her more than he could ever tell her. Following her into the flat, he glanced back at her when she offered coffee, but he could tell she was just barely holding it together, so he pulled her back into his arms.
"It's okay," he whispered, holding her protectively. "You can cry if you want to."
He certainly wasn't going to think less of her for it. Not after what she'd been through today. He wanted to ask her about her connection to Michael, but sensed this wasn't quite the right time, so he just held her, hoping he could comfort her.
