Dean couldn't resist smiling as Morag threw her arms up and posed slightly in front of him. Unlike others, he never passed judgment on her. Actually, he never saw her on the weird side. She was normal, but obviously eccentric. It was a positive trait in his eyes, never faltering towards a negative thought about the girl. Easily she had gotten him to smile without doing much of anything. Maybe it was the anticipation of seeing her in front of him brewing up and taking it's toll. Dean wasn't all that sure, but he knew that he was happy seeing her once again.
Truthfully, he did mean what he told her within his journal. The desire of never, ever wanting her out of his sight for that long again was real. It felt as though it had been years since Dean had last seen Morag. That was too long for his liking.
"Of course, I missed you, Morag. No doubt about it," he replied at first, before listening to her ramble on with her words. It was endearing, especially since he rarely had anyone do such a thing because of him in such a long time. Well, he wasn't sure if it was excitement of seeing each other causing her to ramble, but he liked to let himself think it was. "I might have gotten a little taller, but I'm not entirely sure. It's been a while since I've checked. However, I don't think you've gotten the shorter. You still look the perfect height to me." They had only been near each other for a few moments, and Dean couldn't resist on tossing in a compliment into his words. That was how he truly was, even though there were only a select few that got that particular side of him, even if it didn't seem so. Something about Morag was special though. He just couldn't put his finger on it.
The gnomes didn't bother him a whole lot. In fact, he had barely paid much attention them, especially as the conversation continued between the two of them. It almost left his mind completely that there were creatures in the garden. Dean hadn't much contact with such magical creatures outside of the subject though, especially with his parents being muggles. It was even safe to say that his mum might be deathly afraid if there were gnomes in her garden, already picturing her screaming at the top of her lungs. That surely would be a sight though to witness. With a simple nod, he showed that he agreed with her on that.
"To be honest, I rarely wake up this early," he answered, licking his bottom lip just slightly and kept his gaze upon her. "I just wanted to see you as soon as possible, so having dinner was far too late for that." Dean would have suggested on meeting yesterday for ice cream or something, especially since he had written his entry at such a late time, but he didn't want to intrude on anything else that she might have planned for the evening. "I do get an A plus for being truthful, right?" he asked with a bit of a grin.
Their morning get together had only been on friendly terms, but Dean knew enough about such hang outs possibly leaning into more. Of course, that would be jumping the gun. They hadn't seen each other in quite a while. If Morag wanted their hang out to become a date, he didn't have any qualms about that as well. Not to mention that he honestly hoped that it lasted longer than breakfast. That's how eager he was about spending time with the girl. "Are you ready to go?" he asked, reaching out his hand to help her out of the garden. It was a bit muddy, so he didn't want her to go slipping within it or anything. Actually, he half expected Morag to blurt out about needed to find a clean set of shoes. "You don't have a problem with muggle diners, right? I just want to make sure."
