"Then what are you asking me?" she bit back, finding Ron's outgoing calm completely irritating. "Considering you're apparently so willing to just let her into our home, then I would suppose there should be some degree of trust there, yes? And I've already spoken to her on the journals. She was completely unpleasant and seemed rather paranoid if you ask me. You telling me that I have to get to know her is just ridiculous."
As he spoke of Lia's bloodline and trapdoors in her office, Hermione looked at him like the idiot she thought he was. "Why are you telling me that?" she asked. "I know she's Muggle-born." Did that somehow change things? Was she supposed to feel some kind of connection because they both had Muggle parents?
"Honestly, Ron, don't try and pull that. I'm not going to stand around debating what my reaction might be if you change the facts. The point is, you don't just want me to meet her, you want to sit me down and have her read my tea leaves, as if that proves she can somehow predict Death Eater attacks later on."
