He raised his eyebrows at Lisa when she mentioned him looking cool. "How much have you had to drink, Lis? I'd hardly classify myself as cool, though I think the jacket helps."
Kevin took another sip of his beer and turned his full attention to his friend. "And what about you? You look nice. All sweet and pixie like." In his opinion, she always looked like that, which was one of the things he liked about her. Lisa was like a little light, all on her own.
"Resolutions. Let me see..." Kevin's mind flickered back to last New Year's, which he had spent alone on the run. He resolved to getting back to living a normal life, so he felt confident that he had succeeded on that one. "I suppose get a new job is something I should work on for 1999."
He laughed at her mention of a tree house. "That sounds rather ambitious. Do you plan on living in it when you're done or is just for play?" Kevin had always wanted a tree house when he was little and even if he felt too old for it now, he imagine it would still be fun to build.
When Lisa handed him the badge, he wasn't sure what to think. "Do blokes normally wear badges on their jackets?" He wasn't sure he'd seen it before. "But I do like Led Zeppelin, so it's worth keeping. Thanks, Lis."
