Katie had just gotten out of practice, her hair pulled back in a damp ponytail from her shower, a duffle bag slung over one shoulder. She still couldn't believe that starting tomorrow she'd be first string, and she'd worked extra hard at practice to prove it, more to herself than anyone else, that she deserved it.
Instead of apparating straight back to her flat, she decided to visit Diagon Alley - a short walk through the snowy streets would be nice after all of the flying and weight-lifting she'd done. Her feet led her to Quality Quidditch supplies without much thought...she'd worked there before everything had gone down the drain, and it was still a little like a second home to her.
She was almost through the door when she spotted Meaghan in front of the windows; she knew her a little bit, if only from quidditch, and when she heard the other girl comment to herself about the display being beautiful, Katie couldn't help but to turn towards the window and stop next to her. "It is, isn't it?"
