Kevin was immediately distracted by the stack that Lisa unveiled from behind the counter. "Atta girl, Lis. I love it when score something sweet." In fact it had been Lisa herself, a few years back, that had exposed Kevin to the world of classic punk. Prior to her, he'd been far more mainstream - the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin - with some David Bowie, Elton John and Queen thrown in for good measure.
But Lisa had quite the ear and a love for the sort of music you had to dig deep to find. And Kevin, always with an open mind, was an eager student to her influences.
She lured him toward the listening booth, her hands filled with treasures. It was the sight of it that reminded him of something. "Hey, did you ever get an owl from me? I found a music sphere of that Christmas song we were talking about."
