"You could send him Pig," Ron pointed out, though he was teasing. "Has he calmed down any?" Ron had been letting his owl come and go at will, because apparently the move to the new flat had overexcited Pig. Of course, everything was too exciting for Pig.
And it was one more thing that reminded him that yes, he needed to thank Hermione. She'd taken care of Pigwidgeon, and dealt with anything else that Ron hadn't been able to think about immediately following his parents' deaths.
He sighed, thinking of it all. It really had been a long day. "Your aunt and uncle were nice," he said, thinking back to lunch. Of course, the surprise of unexpected people there had not been all that welcome. Ron hadn't been too upset that Hermione hadn't gone with him to Shell Cottage, if only for the fact that he didn't want to stick around with strangers at her parents' house.
