Who: Seth Capper and Cho Chang. What: As promised, Seth makes dinner for Cho (or rather, cons one of his friends (Penny?) into making it for him). Where: Seth's flat in Diagon Alley. When: Wednesday, December 22, 1998. [backdated] Rating: Unknown.
This was about as romantic as it was possible to get, Seth thought with satisfaction as he surveyed the room. There was a fire roaring in the fireplace, warming the room and bathing it in a golden glow. There were candles on the table, along with half a dozen red roses in a glass of water, since he didn't have a vase.
Why was he going to all this effort? Now there was a tricky question. Seth insisted it was to get laid, but he didn't have to go to these lengths to get laid and never had before. He was adept at avoiding any deeper probing of his feelings.
Dinner was in the oven already plated up and ready to be served when they were ready for it. He had some pots in the sink to make it look like he had cooked himself, but in reality he couldn't cook anything more difficult than toast (he was sure he would be brilliant at it, if he just had the time to dedicate to it). He had wanted to have dinner here though, in a quiet, private place where they could talk and were in close proximity to his bedroom if it were required. Just on the off chance that Cho was amenable to that, of course.
Hearing a knock at the door, Seth walked over and pulled it open, grinning at Cho. "Hi," he said warmly, opening the door wider to let her in. "Come in. Let me take your cloak."
