She was jumpy, to say the least. She flinched when he touched her from behind, and quickly whirled around to face him. She knew it was Ernie all along, of course, but that little, nagging feeling in the back of her mind...
Her eyebrows sloped sadly upon his loaded question. How could she answer that now? Nothing was ever going to be the same. They couldn't even enjoy a sodding ball all the way through without feeling as though something had gone horribly wrong, even if they hadn't been told a thing.
She gave something of a pitiful whimper, and nodded despite the sound she had made. "Sure I am." What would he think of her, seeing her getting worked up over something that might not even of been that big of an issue. "Sorry- I mean- I suppose I got a bit flight back there." She still felt flighty.
