Pansy had to admit that whoever had decorated for the Christmas Charity Ball had done a wonderful job. The Atrium was entirely white, from the tree, to the falling snow, to the white candles. Winter Wonderland indeed; it was very pretty.
She, of course, liked all the white for one other reason. Having chosen to wear an emerald green dress, Pansy stood out wonderfully against all the white decorations. The green silk clung to her upper body and had a low neckline, but flowed into a loose skirt that kept the dress somewhat modest. Her wand was concealed in a magically-hidden pocket at her waist; Pansy never went anywhere without it, especially these days.
Picking up a flute of champagne, Pansy took a small sip and looked for Draco, who had excused himself for just a moment when they'd arrived.
