Ginny grinned at the sight of Dean. As the door opened fully, she could see the cuts on his face, but she was no stranger to things like that after the year from hell at Hogwarts with the Carrows, so she didn't let her horror show on her face as she transferred a couple of tins to Dean and stepped inside.
"Mum was upset when she heard about what happened to you and Seamus, and cooking is her way of coping, so," she shrugged a bit, and put the rest of the tins down on the hall table so she could give Dean a proper hug hello. "How are you?" she asked, gazing up at him with concern now.
She really wished she could have done something to help him, but with only Lavender and Luna concerned, from what Ginny had read, she really wasn't sure what any of them could have done. It was distressing though to know that the Carrows were out there, up to their old tricks, and hurting people Ginny cared about. She felt so helpless when things like this happened and felt a strong need to do something...there just didn't seem to be anything she could do.
