"It looks lovely," she assured Penny, glancing at the cake again. "And even if it's not, I'm sure Ron will still eat it. Here, let me put it on the kitchen table for you." Hermione took the cake from her, considering it would be rather silly to make her hold onto it.
"Really?" she asked, when Penny mentioned the Christmas rush "That's wonderful." Personally, she couldn't think of anything better than everyone getting a book for Christmas. Sadly, she assumed a large percentage of books bought would be going to a small percentage of people. Though she would still be happy, just as long as one of them was her.
Gesturing to the couch, she put the cake down in the kitchen and then went to join Penny again. "Uh... Strange day," she settled for, when asked about it, picking up the teapot. "Would you like some tea? I'm really pleased that you decided to come by."
