Ron could tell that Hermione had all but forgotten about her meeting with Penny, and then she was getting worked up all over again. At least he was fully awake now, standing from his chair and moving behind her.
"Relax, Hermione," he said, his hands on his shoulders like they'd been the day before. "We're not going to give up, and there will still be plenty of people who see through his stupid offer. Plus the Ministry won't stand for it now either, not with Kingsley in charge. And you pointed out the flaws in his logic rather brilliantly, anyway."
He dropped the subject there, hoping she'd stop thinking about it long enough to realise that she was exhausted, and needed sleep. "You should at least get some rest now, before three."
