Who: Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
What: Hermione gets to play nurse. No, not in the fun way.
Where: Hermione's flat.
When: Late Wednesday afternoon.
Rating: Low? I have no idea.
It was times like these that Hermione wished she had a spare room. After being released from St Mungo's, there was a choice for Ron to either come home with her or go to the Burrow; Harry not being around 99% of the time putting their flat out of the question. Molly Weasley had put in her vote, with no one surprised as to her thoughts on the matter. But Hermione had reasoned that she was home all of the time anyway and it was far easier for Harry to visit a little way down the street than make it all the way to Devon.
Whilst she made it obvious that she didn't like it, the older woman eventually relented and Ron was going to be staying with Hermione. Which was exactly why she needed that extra room. It wasn't as though she had anything against him sleeping in her bed; the last week or so had been testament to that. But he wasn't exactly in the greatest shape and she would have preferred to not have to worry about accidentally knocking into him as they slept.
When it came down to it though, she could only work with what she had been given. So Ron was now propped up in her bed, with Crookshanks having been given strict instructions to leave him alone. Hermione wasn't sure how the entire scenario was going to go, given that the previous day had mostly consisted of awkward conversation and yelling, but she was still glad to have him there.
At least he looked better, with the healers able to get rid of most of the cuts and bruises. It was what she couldn't see that still needed mending. "I think you're all set," she decided, surveying the small room. He had his journal, a Quidditch magazine, a glass of water, chocolate frogs that Harry had sent over and she couldn't think of much else he could possibly need.
