Who: Penelope Clearwater and Seth Capper
What: Friends catching up over dinner.
Where: Penny' flat, just off Diagon Alley, London
When: Tuesday night, 7pm..
Rating: Most likely low.
Penny had always considered herself a Dealer; she dealt with just about everything whether it was an extra shipment at work, working double or split shifts or coming home to a parcel with more red ink and suggestions in the corner for a rewrite than actual words. When it came to her friends, Penny applied the same 'can do' attitude; when she'd seen just how hard Seth was working she'd wanted to do what she could and that included cooking.
Scents filled the flat as she took the roast out of the oven to let it rest and gave the tray left in an experimental poke. The roasters were crisp and Penny did a quick dance of success in her kitchen. There was something incredibly satisfying about having things turn out perfect - cooking was a lot like potions and she slipped her step by step recipe book back onto the shelf before checking her top was clean and everything in place.
Penny was anxious that Seth arrived safe; they'd known one another since school and with the recent troubling events she wanted to make sure he was safe and not working himself to the bone. And he would - because he was the sort to triple check things before he went home, even if it ate into proper sleeping times.
Penny was broken from her reverie by the sound of the doorbell ringing and with a quick look around the flat, she crossed the hall to open the door to her friend on the doorstep. "Hi Seth! Come on in."
