He sighed. He knew he needed the sleep. She did too, or else he would have protested more. "You do too," he pointed out. "But maybe one day I'll get to spend time with you besides sleeping?"
He nodded when she said to keep his dislike of using her flat to himself. "Yeah, it would probably be a more productive meeting if I wasn't sulking at everyone being here?"
And he wanted firewhiskey to drink, he'd certainly earned it. But he felt a bit too on edge from those damn potions to try and drink alcohol on top of it. "Anything that doesn't you having to make it. Juice or something."
Waiting until she'd poured them drinks, and were both sitting at the table, him with a forkful of food already waiting for him, he said, "Don't know if you saw me and Harry talking about it, but we're both full Aurors now. Promoted. That's my news, I guess it's good. Better than bad, at least." He shrugged, and then started eating. He knew he only got the promotion right then because they were desperately in need of people, and additional training wasn't an option. But it didn't really seem like that big of a deal. Except... "More money though," he added, "that's the best part."
