Sally sighed and took a sip of wine. Avoiding his eyes, Sally felt compelled to talk, to find a way to lessen the tightness in her chest.
"Did you ever take a moment to think how this would make me feel?" Her words were weary. "You broke up with another girl to be with me. Or something like that. I'm not sure exactly. But how can I trust you not to do the same to me? Not to mention the million other reasons I can think of why this won't work."
