There was a moment, before Justin arrived, when Sally caught herself dressing. Not the usual shower, dry your hair, put on clothes, go to work sort of dressing. The kind where you examine the contents of your wardrobe and debating which combination was most appropriate.
When she realized what she was doing, she immediately stopped, chastising herself for thinking that way. Sally could not and would not take this evening out of context. If she allowed herself to get excited about this sort of thing, she was really only setting herself up for disappointment. That was the last thing Sally needed.
Finally she picked up something modest and weather appropriate. Sally couldn't help think about what sort of outfit Megan would have chosen. Something trendy and flirtatious. Shaking the thought out of her head, Sally dabbed some perfume behind her ears and on her wrists, just as she heard a knock on the door.
She grabbed a pair of flats and attempted to put them on as she answered the door.
