"Well, you won't be given the chance, I promise you. When I surprise you, you'll be so surprised you won't even know you're being surprised!" Parvati said with a nod. She opened her own menu, and sighed at all the lovely sounding items. "Shall we just do a prix fixe? That way we can try a little of a lot of things and won't have to worry about mispronouncing anything or talking about animal...parts," she said with a knowing nod.
Parvati blushed a bit. She didn't want to think she was a princess who had to be treated specially all the time. "Darling, I don't need something special all the time. I'm so very grateful you've surprised me this time, but you have nothing to make up for," she said honestly, looking in his eyes and taking his hand. "I...feel...I'm just glad to be here," she said in a rush, grateful when the waiter returned with her water and was ready to take their order. What was she going to do then, confess she loved him? God, she needed to have something to eat before she did something mad like that again.
