"Good," she said with a smile. "It does seem like an extra lot of work for an owl. And they're not always safe, either." Personally, she believed a correctly warded journal entry was better than the possibility of an owl being intercepted.
"I would most definitely call you a friend," Hermione assured him. "Though referring to me as Harry's friend or Ron's girlfriend would still be entirely correct," she added in amusement.
She wondered if she could convince Ron to put his empty glasses in the sink like that as Oliver did so, then hesitated for a moment as he asked her that question. After a moment, Hermione decided to just tell him the truth. "Kingsley asked me," she admitted. "But I wanted to finish school first and... I don't know, I don't think it's really the job for me. I'd much prefer to work behind the scenes, so to speak."
