Henry's head nodded, able to relate to that small fact. "Seems a lot of people don't believe us," he murmured in response, fingering the worn corner of his book.
As Sarah's story continued, his eyes darted back to her face, taking in the words she spoke. He could only frown. "It seems you went through more. I... didn't really know my neighbors..."
It was when she asked him the question that Henry glanced away, back to the book. How was he supposed to answer that? Did he even mention the 'alternate world' that he seemed to reach, crawling through the hole in his bathroom? Or even the fact that there was a corpse of the man trying to kill him inside his apartment. ... The umbilical cord part would really make him seem crazy.
Henry shook his head. "I wouldn't call it 'surviving'. I've had... nightmares ever since."
