DC [30 Jun 2008|12:09am] Hello everybody, We are a celebrity roleplaygame played on an invisionfree board instead of a journal. But we are having just as much fun. Still relatively new, we already have a high activity and would love some fresh meat :) Everybody is welcome! Director's Cut Story: Welcome to LA, the land of milk and honey, of palm trees, sandy beaches, A-list celebrities and more plastic than you could ever dream of! Where people come to make their dreams come true. It's time to shine and realize your own dreams! The point of this RPG is to move up the ranks of celebrity status as you play your character. To do that, you need to participate in Industry projects such as movies, TV-productions, concert tours etc. to earn money. The more projects you are involved with, the more money you make, the bigger house you can buy, the better your parties will be etc. Anything you can do to generate greater popularity will help you climb to the top of the ladder. If climbing the celebrity ladder isn't quite your thing, you could simply work in a cafe, or write for the local paper. And all the ladder climbing should not get in the way of forming relationships, flirting and generally letting your character live the good life. However, there are complications. Incidents and accidents beyond your control. Natural disasters, or just plain bad luck. These can occur at the most unexpected of times, and totally shake up your world because as we all know, you can't control everything and sometimes there's nothing more to do but to soldier on. This is all part of the Director's grand plan in an effort to make the game as realistic and as exciting for you, the player, as possible. You can be whoever you want - from an actor/actress, a singer, a writer, a director... or just a civilian. There's room for everybody .Come and check us out - I swear we're fun. [30 Jun 2008|01:42pm] It involves this woman (played by me and I have yet to come up with a pb but possibly Jennifer Morrison, Brooke White or Jessica Alba) who is a doctor. She is married with a teenage son or daughter but is also an alcoholic. She had her medical license suspended for a year while she went away to rehab for half the year and then recovered at home for another 6 months. Things started looking up for her and her medical license was regained, her family regained closeness and her and her husband are closer than ever. What happens when she has a relapse? She stays clean for a year and decides she's safe, having a social drink. What happens when that social drinker turns into what she was before? Her husband doesn't notice until she comes home drunk one day when claiming to be at work. It wouldn't be much of a problem except for her complete personality change as a drunk. The sweet, caring doctor suddenly turns savage and desperate for her next glass of wine and sometimes turns to smashing plates, trashing the house, or taking it out on her kids and her husband. There is always an escape however and that's a divorce but what happens when the husband is too in love with the real woman he married to let go? Will love prevail? Or will the family fall apart? Can she escape the world that she has come to know? I'd like someone to play the husband in a three way storyline. post comment
