Okay so Nightwing was still a little cynical and bitter about his former mentor's need to check up on him any chance he got. His knee-jerk reaction to every instance was to assume that Batman just didn't trust him to be able to do the job that the man himself had trained him to do because, of course, no one could ever be as good as Batman or live up to his impossibly high standards. But Nightwing's time away from him and the rest of the Bat-family had done him some good on that front.
At least he thought that it had.
"Forget it," he said with a dismissing wave. "There anything interesting going down tonight or is it just a patrol night?"
