"I might not be as skinny as I used to be, but a professional demon hunter like yourself should be able to carry my ass around with no problem. Maybe you're just getting out of shape." He only seemed to make a 'psh' sound, shaking his head and fighting back a pained noise as he let her down before glancing back at the woman who really did have the art of capturing a man's heart down. Dean didn't give himself up for just anyone. He didn't let himself feel as though his defenses were lowered when it came to her. Cordelia knew so much about him, more than Cassie had when they had been together. When he was with anyone else he was just pretending. Just lying about who he was. With Cordelia he was who he was. He wasn't alone or afraid of being discovered. "If I'm getting out of shape...it's just because of those goddamn Doublemeat burgers from Hell." He laughed, he knew that wasn't the case. He'd been working more in Cleveland than any other place he'd been in.
He watched her as she searched for the keys, brow arching a bit as he shivered and rubbed his arms. Cordelia was warm...she wasn't freezing her ass off with his jacket draped over her shoulders and making her look honestly that much more appealing to him. He wasn't going to come out tell her anything. It was too early to even feel love for her. She was hot, yes. She was funny and amazing. When he imagined his perfect woman it was her. "Barry Manilow? Do I look like a fanilow, babe? I think not and pride myself in that my friend." He winked, smiling as he stayed behind her.
"Think of Angel as the big brother that has no qualms about throwing you out of a window. Literally. If he gives you the third degree, just nod and smile." Finally, Cordelia offered a reassuring smile, patting his shoulder before she turned back to the door. "Maybe he won't even be here. Might keep you from going out a window." His mouth dropped open, tilting his head to the side. "Well, I'd like to think I know how big brothers act usually. But...as long as he doesn't try to kick my ass we should be in the green." He chuckled, glancing at the shoulder she patted as his brow lifted up with an awkward look on his face.
He stepped inside after her, folding his arms in front of his chest as he did an once over around the place. "Isn't the guy a vamp? Can't he just smell me if we come in?" He walked around, just looking over the place even more for anything that could get him. He did it to any place he'd gone to. He laughed before moving to sit on top of counter in the kitchen, starting to clean his shirt with the wet cloth before glancing down at his shirt, sighing heavily and shaking his head with a click of his tongue. "I think we walked through most of it, jeez." He glanced down at his stained shirt before pulling his shirt over his head so he was just left sitting there in his undershirt.
He ran his hand down his face before hopping off the counter, hiding the smile on his face. "Well, my girl is busted up so I can't exactly head anywhere without being drenched." He shook his head as he looked around the kitchen. "You think we have some food that will not become my clothes?"
