    Time Event
    February 27th, 2008
    we were born for this
    Who: Dawn
What: The youngest Summers does what she does best-gets into trouble.
    When: Nighttime
Where: A club (Think 'The Bronze', only much cooler), an alley, then ?
    Locked: Sam, and later Buffy
    Progress: complete i guess

Oh no, I just keep on falling / And where's hope, when misery comes crawling? / With your fate, you'll trigger a landslide / And kill off this common sense of mine

Laughter was something that Dawn hadn't experienced a lot of lately. With what was going on with her sister and Angel, and that mysterious other Slayer, Dawn had had her mind on a lot of things. Which was why, when she made some friends at a pizza parlor earlier that day, she had leapt at their invitation to visit a club in town. The name, Enchante' had made her think it would be a little cheesey, but she'd decided to go anyway.

She'd prepared carefully, digging out clothes she hadn't worn in a while. A tight pair of jeans, and added to that a green satin v-neck tank top that was beaded along the collar. She finished off the ensemble with stylish dark tan boots, and curled her hair. Grabbing a light jacket and slipping a stake into the inside pocket (it was instinct now, after growing up in Sunnydale), the teenager jotted a quick note for Buffy, then headed off to meet her friends.

And it takes acquired minds / To taste, to taste, to taste this wine / You can't down it with your eyes / So we don't need the headlines / We don't need the headlines, we just want

When they got to the club, Dawn had been a little nervous about getting in-she wasn't 21. But two of her friends, Peter and Nate, kept the bouncers busy, while Dinah and Lindy snuck Dawn in. Inside, a wide smile slid across her lips. She'd missed having fun, like this.

About an hour into her night, she noticed Dinah and Lindy being led towards the back door by two guys that were not Peter and Nate. A frown of concern as her natural 'spidy sense'-as her sister called it-started tingling was seen as she slipped away from the guy she was dancing with, and followed.

Everybody sing / Like it's the last song you will ever sing / Tell me, tell me do you feel the pressure now? / Everybody live / Like it's the last day you will ever see / Tell me, tell me do you feel the pressure now?

Her steps took her through the door and out into the alley, where she spotted her friends still laughing and walking with the guys. Dawn's own pace quickened a little, then broke into a run when she heard Dinah suddenly scream. As she reached the group, she saw what had caused the reaction even as the scream cut off, thanks to the vampire that was sucking her dry, mimicking what was already happening to Lindy. "Hey!"

"...Oh crap." She muttered as the vampires turned towards her. She started to back up as they advanced, while pulling out her stake, and backed into a solid wall.

A wall where she'd just come from?

Her heart began to pound as she turned, and came face to face with a third vampire, and a fourth walked up next to him.

    "Okay...this is so not good."

Right now, you're the only reason / And time out, if everyone's worth pleasing / You'll trigger a landslide / To kill off the finite state of mind
