Constantine + Hopper
The look that Constantine offered Hopper for his hurt feelings -- a little fake, but probably a bit real too -- was nothing short of darkly sarcastic. "Yes," he said, enunciating the word so that the s went on rather too long. "That's exactly it, my entire reasoning, that."
John wasn't the type to be smothered. He'd dealt with it valiantly, and had even, in some cases, enjoyed the attention. But he was a trouble magnet, and there was no adrenaline rush to be found in his one room living space. His fingers practically itched to be doing magic properly again.
He'd never really been able to stop. Not even when he'd wanted to.
So really, it had nothing to do with Hopper.
"Paperwork?" He said, nose scrunching. "Pass." More sitting still clearly wouldn't do.
