Jim + Meggan
"Why couldn't you be an equivalent?" Jim asked, it seemed like Meggan was eager to assure him that she didn't think they were quite up to the same caliber perhaps? He wasn't entirely sure, but what he knew of Meggan he was pretty sure that any group she was a part of could be pretty formidable.
He liked learning about her world, about the way she saw things, beyond just the way she felt about them - though that was also fun. He just found her extremely interesting. Laughing as she assured him she might take any excuse for a party, "Nothing wrong with celebrating life." He assured her with a grin, certainly it was an outlook more people could do with, instead of the kind of cynicism that was so easy to fall into.
"That's not a bad way to think of it, sure we might not be where we're from, we might be doing things differently here, but it's just one more mission right?" He suggested. And this one was surviving long enough to figure out what his next move was going to be, whether that be finding a way out of here or accepting this place as home. "So the diner has been working out well then?"
