Water monsters have increased their attacks on locals and Mistakes alike. Outside of homes, inside of homes, nowhere seems to be safe.
The Doctors and several magic people have been working to make a box and secure it as a means to trap the Deep One inside.
Natasha had Gar hide stashes of weapons in areas along the beach and the cliff that was used for the ritual in October.
The hurricane has been coming toward Dunwich, locals evacuated on Friday, leaving only Mistakes in town and a handful of locals that refused to leave their homes (as always happens).
Stan and Ken were enthralled by the Deep One. (He’d want them to either try to hurt other Mistakes or get Sabrina to him so go with which makes the most sense for yours.)
March 30
MIST has been set up as an emergency location for Mistakes who need it.
The barrier of the ocean is coming down as the hurricane approaches Dunwich. It’s set to make landfall at six. The wind will increase and the beach will be mostly uninhabitable as the sea swells and more creatures beging to emerge from it. They are looking to kill whoever is in their way and get their god’s Bride.
No one really wants to fight the sea god on the beach where he’s got constant access to the sea that heals him and his minions so Sabrina will suggest they take the box to the cliff where she was supposed to be sacrificed in October. They have the advantage of the higher ground and forcing the creatures further from the swelling ocean.
Sabrina will be acting as bait to get him to come onto the land so he can finally be dealt with.
What now?
Monsters need to be dealt with until the Deep One is trapped.
The Doctors and Co need to get the box into position to draw in the Deep One so his little reign of terror is put to an end.
Right after the Deep One is trapped there will be a high pitched feminine laughter reverberating off the ocean. The hurricane will disappear, sea calming and winds dropping off as if they were never happening. Damage done to the waterfront will remain though. The monsters will also retreat.
VOLUNTEER SLOTS
LUX gets in the way of venomous spit from one of the sea minions, leading them to turn on friends who they were previously helping. RILEY is taken by one of the Kelpie and dragged into the water. They reappear two days later on Black Rock Beach. SUSAN is bitten by one of the Vodyanoy. Player choice for the consequences/some kind of plot hook to take it. Talk to Dawn for plotting. VOLUNTEER D is scraped by a sea minions claws, relieving them of their sanity. DATA is kissed by a Rusalka, turning them into one for an hour. Will they be able to stifle the call to drown others or give into this desire?
Creatures on the loose
RUSALKA: These lovely water ladies utilize all types of water to drag their victims to their lakes in order to drown them and then feast on their bodies and souls. They will be utilizing bathrooms, sewers, pools, the lakes and rivers in the forest, and the ocean to drag people back to them. The rain at the end of the month will be helping them to get any victims into the sewers and back to their watery lair.
GORGONS: There are three of them and like in the myths, if you look at them head on they will turn you to stone. (please see this post)
KELPIE: These shapeshifting water beings can turn into horses, look like men, and will try to drag unsuspecting victims down into the water to drown them. There is a herd of them in town.
VODYANOY: Usually found in lakes, rivers and streams, these creatures are also residing in the sewers and working to drown anyone they come across until their master gets his way.
CREATURES OF THE DEEP: From deep within the waves, these monsters range in size and looking upon them is almost akin to looking directly at the Deep One--it may drive you insane. Some have tentacles, some have claws. Both can release venom into a person's body if they graze you and that venom has a tendency to drive people insane or into a rage, where they'll attack anyone, friend and foe.
