Re: Meggan + Jim
Jim decided that both was a good answer - that he wasn't so vastly different from everyone else around him that he stood out in a odd way, but simply that he was different enough that once she knew him on any level it was just easier to find moving forward. That made sense, or at least he could make sense of it and that was more than enough for him. He didn't have to fully understand everything but he liked to be able to make a kind of sense out of most things he encountered if possible.
As the music slowed down so did their swaying, though they kept on talking. Jim holding Meggan's hand in his and laughing when she got his toes again unbothered by it. It was strange to think that his emotions gave away so much, that she could tell the ways he held back.
"Not everyone appreciates being questioned as thoroughly as I'd like to get into at times." He admitted with a soft laugh, "I've learned there are times it's better to hold back that part of me in many situations rather than make myself stand out too much." And Meggan had become his first real friend here the last thing he wanted to do was push her away by being too nosey. "And it's better sometimes, to just let things pass by unsaid rather than giving voice to every single thing that comes into my head at times."
