Nooses made for rather dismal adornments so it was nice to see it dropped. No doubt it'd get lost in the crowd, even if it might be harder to forget the feel of it against one's neck. "Thank you. I like to sharpen them both from time to time."
"At least once a week someone turns up, not sure how they got here. But you're the first to arrive from an executioner's block." At least the Jude knew of, but she hadn't heard anyone mention anything similar.
"Basically you show up, sometimes you run into one of us who has been around awhile. I'm just waiting for a local to bump into us and hand you a phone." She pulled hers out to show. "It'll look similar."
