Today | a phone call

RING RING

[David heads away from Katniss's office but doesn't venture toward the exit or the portal yet. He needs confirmation that this Lantsov, Nikolai is not the one he knows. That he has not yet lost his mind. He clicks the little icon next to the name and peers down at the tel-e-phone, brows knitting as it begins to make noise. Hopefully that's a good thing.

	[Nikolai is at home, picking up a few things before heading into work. He pauses when his phone rings, not paying attention to the name that flashes on the screen before he picks it up.] Hello, Nikolai speaking? (Reply to this) (Thread)

	[The voice is accurate. How is it so accurate? Possibly something on the device he's holding can distort it to be so. David nearly drops the phone but manages to catch it midair, finger accidentally hitting the video function--not that he knows that's what it is.] I. Perhaps the coffee was poisoned. 	[Nikolai hears a rustling sound of a phone being flipped around, and he pulled back to look at who might be calling.] Wait- David?! [The phone lights up and a face appears. Nikolai holds the phone up with the camera directed at him.] What do you mean coffee was poisoned? Where are you? How long have you been here?! (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

That is Nikolai's face staring back at him. A tailor could certainly but Genya's not here and no one is as good as her and...what would be the purpose?]

Approximately forty-five minutes. It probably wasn't poisoned. The young woman who explained everything was very nice.

But you shouldn't be here.

Just about. It was mid-November when I arrived, and now we're in the middle of January. Back home, it was..perhaps the second time I'd turned into the creature?

[Nikolai picks up a bag, then his phone.]

I think we have a lot to catch up on. But yes, I have a place- it's a pretty big place, too. For here- it isn't nearly as large as any of the palaces or anything like that.
