"Yeah, moping." She repeated. And the way that he reacted just reinforced her thinking that it was in face true and that he was mad. If not at her then at something. She didn't know if he had wanted to pursue anything with her. He hadn't really brought anything up to her after their brief stint at Joyland and she merely took his avoidance as a sign that he wasn't interested.
So she had kept herself busy. With work, with buying a laptop, with starting up her own blog. She had found distraction upon distraction to keep herself going from day to day so that she wouldn't have to subject herself to her own mind and thinking about Steve but she was near her wits end and having her thinking one thing and then only to see him disappearing into his room, with not so much as a word from him. They hardly had seen each other, other than their messages over the network.
"Do you have a problem with the fact that I showed up here with Ken?" She asked, needing him to answer her after she caught him glancing over to Ken and then back to her. She also watched as he declined the drink in her hand and she scowled briefly before downing the contents of the glass.
"Right now? It's the latter as I'm currently debating on whether I should've walked over here now."
