Cinna regretfully tore his eyes away from the artful angles of Thomas's collar. How he would've liked to reach out and feel it -- only to determine if it was starched stiff or held up some other way, of course. No other reason.
"The turning of the year isn't that impressive, back home. There are other, far more impressive events." Mostly the Hunger Games, but also parties in honor of the victors, or the president, or the inauguration of some grand edifice in honor of a war so long-forgotten as to be legend.
None of which Cinna wanted to think about tonight. "Any excuse to dress up though." He smiled. "But you sound like you know the drill. Familiar territory, is it?"
