I was with SHIELD at one point, yes, and likely during the time you were there. I had my missions and duties, and that included not knowing anything else. You know what spook work is like. No one knows all the secrets, so no one can tell all the secrets.
And then we found out that HYDRA had wormed its way into SHIELD, and we destroyed it.
Valentina has a history with Fury and SHIELD, but I wouldn't trust her with my laundry, let alone my life. And if you don't know her, then she's using it to flush you out. Scare you with the details she does know. It's standard spy shit.
