Seriously, it's almost as if every encounter Klaus has had with ghosts has led to this. He looks at Carrie, confused and asks, "How did I steal it?"
And then he doesn't flinch when she starts screaming again, pointing, "YOU STOLE IT! YOU STOLE IT!" And even though he still can't see Ani, he knows she's there, behind him and he asks, "Is she pointing at the crown?"
Which only makes Carrie scream more! "YOU STOLE IT!!"
