Steven was in charge of walking for the time being. Marc was jittery and still all kinds of nervous, and if he had the body, they'd probably just head for the nearest seat and collapse into it to have a tiny little delayed panic attack in public. Jake wanted a fancy coffee and to go look at cars, and while that sounded nice, Steven thought that drinking something caffeinated just now would not help Marc. Maybe when he was a bit calmer, and the post-panic slump was threatening, the coffee would be better. For now, a nice meandering walk suited everyone just fine.
"¡Eso es un Porsche!" Jake pointed out, briefly taking front for a few moments to watch as a car drove past, content to simply admire the lines of the vehicle for now and then fall back to sit with Marc again.
Steven just turned back to face Layla, taking her hand again. "I don't think I'll go to classes after this. Marc already said he needed today off anyway. He's too worked up, still. Are you okay to keep walking with us? Maybe walk for about half an hour and then try for something to eat. And a coffee, yes, don't worry."
The hand holding Layla's then shifted it's grip very slightly, as Steven let Marc take over the hand for the time being.
