Maia told me that she waited until she was absolutely certain to say anything, but she thought I'd want to know. I do. Of course, logically, she knew that lots of people shared similar features without being in any way related to one another. Even still, there was a part of her that kept wondering why she'd never paid closer attention, "She said...she thinks our birth mother would want to meet me if I was up to it."
