Who: Beau and Robin Where: Robin's house When: Friday night, June 19th What: Hot tub/drinking Rating: PG-13 Robin had felt for a long time now that his life had been in a funk. He was sure it had something to do with work. Being an academic adviser, while it passed the time, wasn't fulfilling. He had started to shadow one of his friends at UCD in the psychology department to see if teaching might be in his future. A new job wasn't the root of his problem and he knew it. The older he got the more tired he became with 'the game' and chasing after women. He liked to have fun but it seemed to prove impossible to find a woman who was capable of letting her hair down but also wanted something more than a flirty or friends with benefits situation. He was lonely and it was almost on the verge of embarrassing that his children had picked up on this.
Tonight would have been a lot less strange for him if he hadn't of known that his sweet daughter Sinead had hatched a plan to set him up with Beau. The idea of being set up made him feel like he had no game or that he was incapable of attracting a woman on his own. Those thoughts and feelings had to be pushed aside though. Self doubt was not an attractive quality. To clear his mind and recharge himself Robin decided to make drunk snack food: bacon wrapped shrimp, mini zucchini quiches, and mini caprese salad skewers that were on toothpicks. He could have easily made chips and something greasy and gross but he wanted to show off a bit.
