Who: Lucas and Jackie When: Morning of April 12 Where: Local coffee shop! Rating: PG-13 Status: Private, on-going
Getting up early had its advantages and its (larger) share of disadvantages. Usually on Sundays he slept in and went to the late morning church service, but that morning was different. His parents wanted to take his son for the day and needed him dropped off by eight that morning. Something of a park or festival, the details were fuzzy to Lucas. Everything was fuzzy until late morning hours settled in and he had some alone time.
He did what errands he could while in town and then found a quaint shopping center on his way home. What made him pull over was a cafe with a large "DUBLIN'S FAMOUS COFFEE" sign hung in the window. Sleep dragging him down, he immediately pulled into a parking spot and entered, quick to put in his order. He did not like anything fancy, just a simple black cup of coffee. Grabbing a magazine and his large cup of java, he settled at a table by the window. He could not have been more pleased to finally have a sip of that coffee. However, as a disgusting taste of bitterness coated his tongue, he grimaced and placed the cup back on the table.
"Dublin's famous coffee?" he muttered to himself. "Famous for what, I wonder?"
