dS Weekly - Day

9:26PM - Week 52 21st - 28th December 2010

So here we are, the last digest of 2010. Now seems a good time to think about next year. Please forgive the slight ramble and amount of text that follows.

This digest has been posted every week for well over 4 years now but as the years and weeks have gone by there has been less and less to post. Compare some of the 2006 entries with ones that have been posted this year. As a fandom due South does appear to be smaller in terms of the fanfic, fanrt and other creative endeavours that have been produced.

I find myself wondering if the fandom needs a weekly digest such as this.

In times though when many larger fandoms need one (or more) daily newsletters to keep up with the happenings in a fandom I can't help but wonder if a small weekly digest is outdated at this point. The thought has been on my mind for around 12 months, ever since the digest started shrinking so much (which has become very noticeable to me the last year or so).

If you feel there is still a need for a weekly roundup, however small, then I am happy to continue doing it. It's no trouble for me to carry on if it is felt the digest is wanted/needed.

Thoughts and opinions are welcome. In the meantime thank you all for your support and I wish you all a happy new year.
