A year has passed since Eliza Dunworth has been reported missing by the Trabian Metropolitan Police. She would be 12 this coming April, but the fate of this bright, young aspiring athlete remains a mystery. Eliza is only one of the staggering number of preadolescent and adolescent females who have disappeared without a trace.
Authorities around the planet are working hard in their search, promising to leave no stone unturned. But with more cases surfacing now and then, the question is, are they doing enough?
Garden has already been tapped for involvement and have staged the successful rescue of 8 year old Mena Gui and 11 year old Lindy Porter last March. But this is only two out of scores of young girls and families fear they would never see them alive again.
Last October, Loiregram user elmphotography came upon these disturbing tree graffiti while hiking with his girlfriend in Winhill, prompting a massive scare that interfered with Hyne's Fest festivities which is popular among children.
But who are behind the disappearances? Who are the hooded figures often reported in the scene? Fingers point to the enigmatic sect known as the Hyne's Descendants who are believed to be responsible for the string of vandalism in Timber, Winhilll and Balamb, along with a number of violent demonstrations including the poisoning of drawpoints and leading a Denial of Service attack on OdineTek. The blame would shift to the ShinRa Electric Power Company, suspected to have orchestrated the kidnapping of Ashley Chen after incriminating evidence has been collected. This has been strongly denied by the now deposed and believed deceased President ShinRa. "I have no answers to give because ShinRa is not responsible."
The citizens are now taking a proactive role. Just a few months ago, the Amber Network has released a full list of names of the missing girls and tripled hotline personnel in hopes of gathering new clues. But slow justice has set families aflame, which sparked the Deling riots as fearful parents and other angry denizens have targeted ShinRa property that led to the troubled company's destructive end.
But it now appears there is more truth to President ShinRa's statement as the DCPD fails to find further proof linking the lost girls to the electric power company despite the revelation of its twisted experiments. Are we now back to square one? How long will families live in agony and fear and how many girls will have to be taken before decisive action is taken? But more to the point, how do we even begin fighting a faceless enemy?
