No worries! I had a crazy busy awesome weekend myself! :D
For someone of Demetria's size and stature, speed was always going to be the way to go. It pleased him to know that she still remembered things that he'd taught her, no matter how long ago that was from now. Auron did not see himself as the best teacher, all things considered; it was a career path he'd fallen into rather than chosen for himself. But he did have an impact, and that would have had him smiling, had he not been in the middle of a spar.
The fact that the two of them hadn't done this in a while was a good thing. It was a challenge for him, since he no longer remembered every move she'd make before she made it, and thus it kept him on his toes. He did not have the magic she did - he'd never learned and now never would, it felt too much like Durren's place that he dared not take it - but that didn't matter so much now. The angle she approached him from this time was on his blind side, and Auron might have missed it if he did not turn his head in time. Another block, and Auron took two long strides to end up behind her, throwing out a leg in hopes of sweeping her back off her feet.
