Despite her best efforts, Quistis found she simply couldn't keep a straight face when Edgar said things like that. She lasted a couple seconds before snorting out a laugh and leaning back into the passenger seat. "I hope you're getting hazard pay." That was perhaps exactly what she needed, though. An escape from Real Life, even if just a short one.
"I hardly expected you to feed me, Edgar," she sighed. Quistis had had more to drink this week than in the past few years as it was. Would she turn down a beer after the day she'd had? Not hardly. "If this is my escape from Real Life, then my only request is to not have to make any decisions," she grinned. "I'm quite tired of being responsible."
