Xerxes stayed lost in his own mind for a moment, listening to the sand pour gently to the ground and counting each outward breath he made. It wasn't long before his calm, tantric state was interrupted by a familiar voice. He had took a small outward breath once more and turned to see the familiar head of well maintained brown curls not so far off. He offered a small, noticeably weaker than usual smile and shook his head.
"For the next few weeks, I suppose." He answered the 'bullshit' question and shifted so he could lean against the punching bag and the pole holding it up.
"I haven't seen you in a few weeks. Is everything going okay with your family situation?" He said, trying to put the needs of his friends ahead of his own at the current moment, even when he wanted to dwell on things a little longer.
"You know I'm here for anything you need. You're one of the few people I would drop anything for." Which narrowed the list down to two since Isaaru wouldn't be in his life anymore.
