Re: Rinoa and OPEN - 10:45ish
It wasn't Rinoa's doing, why Timber was flourishing. She'd merely done her part and she'd done so in a responsible way. See? She could totally come up with plans and not have them all immediately backfire, too! She'd grown up a lot from the teenager who ran away from her general father to help fight a rebellion, but that girl was still in there, somewhere. That sort of passion in life was something to be treasured, and Rinoa did her best to keep those fires going, so to speak.
That was why she threw herself into her work in Timber. So she'd have a reason to get out of bed in the morning. So she would feel useful. Needed. She could ignore the part where she was lonely as hell without him, but not forever. And the fact that he was having a hard time looking at her now just about broke her. This was a bad idea. I shouldn't have come. Should've told him ahead of time. Should've prepared him. Because, yes, Rinoa understood that he probably still had bad days. To an extent, they all did. She didn't want to be responsible for setting him off without meaning to.
"I'm sure you're doing great," she said, finishing off her glass and leaving it on a nearby desk. Refilling it was the last thought on her mind. Rinoa supposed it could be worse - they could have started fighting right here, and they hadn't, so she would take what she could get. "It's..." She blew out a breath, biting her bottom lip for a second before letting it go. "It is good to see you, you know." I miss you.
