Seifer expression deepened but he didn't say anything, only taking another drink from his glass. The liquid burned on the way down, and part of him hoped it would start numbing his brain soon. He didn't really want to think about any of this now, but that didn't stop him from actually doing it. There had to be something more than familiarity. After years of not having anything, to suddenly regain so much of it he could understand why he just wanted things to settle, to be normal.
"Yeah," he replied, though it wasn't an actual answer. He didn't know what else to say, or whether or not to agree or disagree. He was reminded of his conversation with Quistis, about not being one of them, and her assurances that he was. Deep down he knew that was wrong, and time would only prove it. All it did was confuse him, make him feel bitter, and hurt.
"I'm just playing nice," he didn't know if he sounded convincing, or convinced, but he felt tired. "The easier this all goes the better." He thought for a few seconds before turning to her again. "We should probably figure out what we're gonna do after. I mean, once Rai's back. You gonna go back to the Odine thing?"
