We've received many lovely submissions already, others have asked for various lengths of extensions for beta-reading purposes, etc. Please, if you haven't turned in a submission yet, do communicate with us about whether/when you think it will be done, and we'll start figuring out the schedule for posting and such.
My apologies for not posting this sooner. I had a really bad cold the same week as a major major deadline last week, and just couldn't get to it! We owe replies to lots of people who have submitted their pieces already, too, please be patient while we get through the backlog. Thank you! I'm really loving everything I've seen so far!

This is just a reminder that unless you've specifically requested an extension, your fics and arts for the first Drapery_Snarco fest are due TOMORROW, February 15th, by midnight, Central Standard Time, USA. There is still time to request an extension, so if you need one just let us know.

We have just a little over a month until everyone's fics and art are due in the DRAPERY & SNARCO Fest!
Please remember we are going to rigorously apply the requirement for all pieces to be beta-read.
If somehow you've already finished your piece, don't forget you can take a second claim, too! Submit your first claim and then go back to the claiming post to pick another one!

| 10:31 pm - Claiming starts tomorrow!
We're prepping the official claiming post for the drapery_snarco fest! No, this is not it. When it goes up, you will have until December 15th to claim your prompt.
A few reminders. Each person can only claim one prompt. If you FINISH your submission early and turn it in, you can go back and claim another one if there are any left and do that one, too, but everyone starts with ONLY ONE.
Each prompt can be claimed by one writer and one artist (who do not have to cooperate at all!)
Since claims are being collected on LJ and IJ, in the case of two writers or two artists claiming a prompt simultaneously on the two different servers, that'd be the only exception where we allow two fics or two works of art based on the same prompt.
Here's the fest timetable again:
December 1st, 2008 - December 15th, 2008: Prompt Claiming
February 15th, 2009: Submissions Due
March 1st - March 31st, 2009: Fest Posting
No posting of your works in your own journals until the fest is over.
We are taking a maximum of 31 writers and 31 artists. If you want to do a multimedia post that combines fic and art... just call it "both" and we'll figure it out, OK?

Just about one week to go for the prompt-collection phase of the Drapery & Snarco Fest!
You have until the end of the day on November 27th (Thanksgiving Day in the US) to submit your ideas for stories and art featuring The Ultimate Threesome: Draco-Snape-Harry. (When we say "end of the day," we mean for whatever time zone you want. Honestly, we're just not that picky.)
Some of the prompts have been intriguingly short, others have been detailed plot bunnies. There's even one cartoon and some lovely snippets of poetry!

Hello fans of the Ultimate Threesome, Draco, Snape, and Harry! We're psyched to open up the Prompt Collection part of the fest.
Anyone can submit prompts, including writers, artists, lurkers, watchers, et cetera.
Prompts may consist of plot summaries, word associations, kinks, quoted poetry or song lyrics, or anything else you can think of. Not all prompts will be claimed in the fest. You may submit as many prompts as you want. Prompts from LJ and IJ will be combined into a big master prompt list as we go along.
Claiming of these prompts won't start until January 1st, and submission deadline for fics and art will be February 15th.
Submit a prompt by commenting below or by emailing your idea to drapery.mods at gmail dot com.
Keep in mind that the fest requires stories to be R or NC-17!

Our goal would be to have writing and posting be done with in plenty of time that people can also participate in the wonderful fest "hds_beltane" on LJ, a fest which also features Harry, Draco, and Severus, but which is not explicitly a threesome fest. (FYI, Beltane is in May.)
WHAT KIND OF FEST??
We've been going back and forth between making this a gift exchange fest and making it a prompt-claiming fest.
There's no reason why we couldn't do a round of one, and then in 6 months or next year, do a round the other way. But I just had an idea...
what about doing it as a prompt-claiming fest, but making 2 teams, Team Drapery and Team Snarco? There is, of course, no "right" way to put these three characters into bed together, but I was thinking it might be kind of neat to have Team Drapery focus on the sensual and sexual side of things, and Snarco more on the relationship dynamics side of things? Both teams would of course be able to use elements of each as these two "sides" are intertwined. But the team concept made me think that it might help keep people focused and helping each other, but without the narrowness of writing to a specific person?
Please comment below if you are thinking of participating in the fest as to your preference(s):
1. Make it a gift exchange like lots of other fests
2. Have watchers & writers submit prompts, compile a big list, and let people just pick
3. Compile a list of prompts but split the participants into two teams
4. I don't care, I'll do it no matter how, so long as I get to write a hot threesome
