"I hate to ask you this, but are you feeling all right Brown?"
"Do I bloody look all right? No one likes me and it's all Ron's fault," she sobbed.
In his mind he knew this wasn't the truth of the matter. No one liked Lavender because of her gossipy ways and her annoying giggling. It didn't have anything to do with Ron. He didn't want to burst her bubble at this point in time.
"No one told you to date Weasel boy. You should've dated someone else. I'm sure there's someone out there who will be able to appreciate you and all you have to offer them. Don't look at me like I'm crazy. Yes, I'm being nice for once. I'm not in such a great mood myself so I can sympathize."
"But you're the bastard everyone hates. Why would you waste your time talking to a stupid Gryffindor like me?"
"Well, fine. If you don't want me to sympathize then I'll just be on my way."
"No don't leave. I'm sorry."
He continued walking not caring about her feelings anymore. He had spent enough time trying to cheer her up, but her reluctance had annoyed him way too much. He didn't want to bother any further with her. She followed him, hoping he would stop walking and keep talking. When that didn't look like it would happen she stopped.
"I hate you! You are pretentious and egotistical. I don't know how your house mates can tolerate you. I'm sure when you get older your hair is going to fall out and your face will be full of wrinkles."
This made Draco stop cold. He slowly turned to face Lavender, fury in his eyes.
"How dare you make such outlandish remarks about me? I wouldn't be so quick to judge me when you're going to end up an old maid. You think no one likes you now. Wait a couple of years. You'll end up alone and die that way. No one will go to your funeral because they never liked you to begin with. Not even Patil."
She slapped him fiercely in the face. He was indignant instantly. He was going to continue to insult Lavender when suddenly she attacked him with even fiercer kisses. Draco was beyond confused. The kiss wasn't the reaction he was expecting from someone he had just insulted. He had expected the slap, but not the kiss. He didn't stop Lavender because he didn't have the heart to. Besides he enjoyed the attention he was receiving from her.
"I like it when people put me in my place," she said in between kisses.
"I didn't know you were so kinky Brown."
"You should've guessed when you saw Ron and I making out in public. Whose idea do you think that was?"
She stopped kissing him for a moment. Draco was a bit out of breath. Lavender wasted no time. She immediately went for Draco's pants and reached down them. Upon feeling her hand around his groin he backed away.
"I think you've groped me enough today Brown."
He left. Lavender frowned. She had more plans for Draco, but she wouldn't put them into effect yet.
