2021 Results Post Part Deux
Welcome back to our show.
Now it's time to celebrate YOU, people of letters, litterateurs, scribes, scribblers, and wordsmiths all. You who have selflessly sacrificed to bring into this weary world your effusive outpourings of pathos and passion. Your verbosity has brought each of you here as victors, and for this, you should stand tall and stand proud.
Our first honourable mention of the evening goes to ktbob, who graced us with two home-grown drabbles, one a peek right inside the head of my son-in-law, Patrick. I hope he doesn't mind too much.
It doesn't look like he minds.
Next, with three drabbles, is notoriouslyuniq, whose speciality seems to be the comeuppance of a misanthropic religious institution. I think we can all applaud that!
With seven drabbles is giorgiakerr, bringing us some lovely ladies and some ladies loving.
winterlover serves up eight drabbles, taking us back to our roots with DeRo and bringing us back to the future with a flying spaghetti monster encounter.
alsha is next, presenting ten drababbles on topics both familiar and futuristic.
Fifth place goes to spaghettitoes with 20 drabbles in almost as many fandoms!
Fourth place to amyriadfthings with 40 drabbles, who reminds us that it wouldn't be a Drabble Day without frenemies Sharon and Rayanne, graces us with an original fic (to which we say BRAVA! and clamour for more) and introduces the world to the fandom of MÃ¥neskin and Puppies.
In third place, proving for yet another year that she possesses the ability to dismiss the constraints of time, who while hosting Drabble Day supervising Alexis, commenting and cheering on her sleep-deprived co-mod was still able to deliver delicacies from Greek mythology to Eurovision, is aldiara, with 47 drabbles.
Second place, with 49 drababbles, goes to amo_amas_amat, who writes in ouvres literary and historical, bringing the Bard to life and sharing the last day of River Song, sharing Ronan Lynch's dreamworld and young Athelstan's greatest fantasy, reprising classics like Remus and Sirius and Katniss Everdean while introducing us to Kim and her boys, Gen and Attolia, and Jamshid and Muntadhir.
And finally, with 53 drabbles (or really just one really long The Old Guard story) is lilithilien, who also managed to co-mod this 24-hour extravaganza with very little sleep and only a moderately disturbing volume of fruit wine consumed.
And that brings to a close our Drababble Day 2021. For all of you, a well-deser-ved standing ovation!
